I work with people ages 18 and older who are seeking help for a variety of challenges, often involving life dissatisfaction, anxiety, depression, stress, family and relationship difficulties, self-esteem and confidence issues, separation and loss, indecision, career-related problems, or disruptive life changes.
When people face such challenges, they often show up in the context of relationships. We might first notice something is “not quite right” in our interactions with significant others, family, friends, or coworkers. Sometimes we have a vague sense that something is “off” within us. We might feel “stuck” or alienated from others or ourselves. Perhaps we can’t shake a nagging feeling that we are not living life to the fullest. We might feel frustrated or confused by our apparent inability to “fix” what is not working in our lives.
In therapy, we will work together to increase your awareness and understanding of the things that trouble you and how you respond to them. As you come to know yourself more completely, new opportunities can emerge for experiencing increased freedom, growth, change, and healing. You can discover acceptance, understanding, and action that once seemed elusive, and ultimately feel more alive to the fullness of being human.
