Couples therapy for deeper shared connections
Humans were created for deep connections, but our fractured selves and families of origin can stand in the way of the depth we crave. This is especially true between partners. An inability to overcome past trauma and develop secure attachment can interfere with intimacy essential for a close relationship.
At the Center for Psychological and Family Services (CPFS), we work with couples who are facing infidelity, struggling with post-partum depression, dealing with a spouse's depression or have simply "grown apart." Our couples therapists aim to help clients develop new skills for communicating, solving conflict and rebuilding connection.
getTING to the root of the problem
While traditional therapy practices can be a source of peace, they do not always penetrate the sources of our discontent. Our marriage counselors have advanced psychodynamic training to work with couples at a deep level. They use a range of therapeutic models and techniques, while recognizing that each couple – and individual – is unique in their own right and so much more than a diagnosis or "problem."
We’ll work with you and your partner to cultivate greater understanding, humility and love. Contact us to pair you with the right couples therapist who can help get to the root of your depression, trauma or discontent.
