Christie Sobczak, M.S.W.

Ms. Sobczak received her Masters of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1993.

Ms. Sobczak has a special interest in working with couples and marital counseling. Additional specialties include relationship issues, divorce, infidelity, remarriage, eating disorders, body image issues, loss/grief, complicated bereavement, trauma, abuse (emotional, physical, sexual), identity issues, family of origin issues, addictions (sexual, drugs, alcohol) and the effect on family members, spiritual issues, mood disorders, and anxiety.

Ms. Sobczak works with adults, couples, children, adolescents, and families. She is also experienced in the use of play therapy with children.

She is a member of the North Carolina Society for Clinical Social Work, the North Carolina Chapter of the American Association for Psychoanalysis in Clinical Social Work, and is an associate member of the North Carolina Psychoanalytic Society.
